The (much needed) 3 day weekend. Feb 24-26th 2012

I've learned to move on from the past, and have grown up a lot.
I've always wanted a blog and am willing myself to start one,so here it goes. It feels awkward writing my thoughts down right now but I'm sure I'll get better at it with time. I'll start it off on a good note and just say that this weekend was one of those weekends where you realize how lucky you are. On Friday, Amy and I had a girl's day and went to lunch, got our nails done, and went shopping. Basically, I'm really thankful to have a friend with the same sense of humor as me, adventurous nature, and out-going. After that, we went to Rue 21 and I bought a leopard print tank top (I'm obsessed with leopard print)! Then, we went to Hobby Lobby- our favorite store! Dustin payed for everything and I feel really thankful to have someone who's that giving and sweet. I really do not give him enough credit at times, but I really do love him more than words can describe and I feel very blessed to have him in my life. On Saturday, Dustin's family came down to see Grandpa and we visited them and went fishing a little bit.  It was good seeing them, Sheldon made me laugh and laugh (I know it's not hard to do but he's funny sometimes!) Sunday, we went and picked up Lindley at Woody's corner, who I've missed dearly. I knew I had missed her but didn't realize just how much until I spent time with her. (Isn't it weird how that happens?)  Then, we went to my Nana's house for my Uncle Rick's birthday party. It was nice to be around my family, I haven't saw them in a long time. There were lots of laughs shared and that's just the way I think things should be. Back on the Dustin topic, because I'm a hopeless romantic, I love the way my family treats him like family and makes him feel comfortable. I guess I forget that we've been together for almost 4 years so I guess he really is family now! :) After Rick's birthday party, we met up with Brady, Amy, and the kids at Academy to look at fishing stuff. We're really excited for the crappie spawning season and I'm sure I'll have some fishing posts coming up, hopefully with some pictures of good catches. Overall, I'm very content and happy in my life right now and love the plan that Dustin and I have set to accomplish. We just bought our first car together and I'm very thankful, it will help us a lot. My great grandfather in-law, Grandpa John, could use some prayers. He's having heart problems and they're having trouble keeping fluids out of his lungs. He's a good man who we all love dearly. He was always more like a Dad to Dustin.
We ate at a yummy Chinese restaurant called Asiana, then got our nails done at Cali Top Nail, which did a really good job and I think I'll go back.
We're so thankful to get to celebrate his birthday with him and love him and look up to him for his strength. He is an amazing role model.
I love him with everything I have.
Skylar (whom we miss a lot-he's in the AirForce) and Grandpa John
